On December 26, 2007, PetroChina Daqing Oilfield Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of CNPC, was granted the China Grand Awards for Industry at a ceremony in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. This is the first time the award has been presented, and Daqing Oilfield was one of the two winners. Zeng Peiyan, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, attended the ceremony and presented the award.

The China Grand Award for Industry is proposed and launched by 12 national guilds headed by the China Federation of Industrial Economics.

Since its development in the 1960s, Daqing Oilfield has maintained high and stable production for 27 successive years and contributed significantly to the nation's economic development.
